MANTIS partner Smartfits showed a recent installation at the Cold Chain Hub by TCS&D, at the NEC in Birmingham.
CH Foods allowed Smartfits to share photographs of the work on one of their vehicles, displayed on the Gray and Adams stand.
The installation
An eight-camera MANTIS system giving coverage around the vehicle rather than in front of it, integrated with Geotab so the video and the telematics sit together.
For CH Foods that means:
- **Remote tachograph downloading**, so compliance does not require the vehicle to come back
- **Cold chain reporting**, with load temperature recorded and available as documentation
- **Live access and video evidence** in the same place as the rest of the fleet data
Cold chain work is a good test of this. The vehicles are large, the access is tight, the load has its own compliance requirements, and a temperature excursion is as much of a dispute as a collision.
