Riverford Organics deliver organic produce across the UK. When they specified cameras, they did not fit a forward-facing dashcam. They fitted a connected multi-camera system covering the whole vehicle.
Why the extra angles
A forward camera records the one direction a delivery fleet is least often accused in.
The disputes that cost a delivery operation money happen at the sides and the rear: a cyclist on the nearside, a wing mirror in a village street, damage to a vehicle while it was parked on a narrow lane. None of it is in front of the windshield.
Covering those angles means an incident has more than one account of it, and a non-fault claim has something behind it other than the driver’s word.
What the connection adds
The footage reaches the office without anyone going to the vehicle, and it sits alongside the rest of the fleet data rather than in a separate system.
For Riverford that means an incident can be reviewed the same day, and the patterns behind repeated near misses are visible rather than anecdotal.
