Bradford Swissport brings together Bradford Airport Logistics and Swissport International to provide consolidated receiving and distribution inside airport terminals. The business handles high-volume materials movement at some of the busiest hubs in the country.

The deployment

In late 2024, MANTIS partner SmartFits installed twelve RECON 8-camera systems across Bradford Swissport fleet vehicles at Orlando International and Detroit Metropolitan. The project extended an earlier collaboration at London Heathrow into the US market, across two airports at once.

SmartFits assessed every vehicle before configuring each system for airport logistics work, and covered installation, testing and staff training so the team was operational from day one.

What it changes in this environment

Airport vehicles carry a distinctive risk profile. They work inside tightly regulated zones where liability exposure is real and the consequences of a disputed claim run well past the cost of the incident.

RECON covers each vehicle inside and out, so an incident can be established from timestamped footage rather than from driver recall or a third party’s account. The same footage feeds driver risk scoring and coaching, and leaves a documented safety record that holds up internally or with an insurer.

Twelve vehicles across two airports now run with that as standard.
