Castell Howell Foods is one of Wales’ largest independent food wholesalers, running a large and growing delivery fleet across the region.

Managing risk at that scale is a different problem to managing it across a handful of vehicles, which is why the business turned to MANTIS, deployed through Geotab installation partner Smartfits.

Castell Howell rolled out MANTIS RECON across the fleet earlier this year. Fleet visibility improved within a short space of time, with real-time data through RECON rather than footage chased down afterwards.

Installation at scale

For Smartfits the priority was a rollout of this size that did not lose quality on the way. Charlie Inger of Smartfits points to reliability as the main selling point: confidence that the system holds up consistently across a large fleet, that it scales to match Castell Howell’s fleet, and that telemetry can be pulled when it is needed rather than after a delay.

What connected cameras add

Wherever a vehicle is, the footage and the telemetry should be reachable.
